Over the last 15 months, WWE for some reason has been obsessed with pushing Michael Cole as a wrestler. Why is beyond me. He's a commentator. He's NOT a wrestler, yet he has wrestled 4 different pay-per-views (Wrestlemania 27, Extreme Rules 2011, Over the Limit 2011, and Royal Rumble 2012). He's also wrestled or competed on 6 different episodes of RAW (4 matches, 2 challenges). A pointless Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler match was the 3rd most hyped match at Wrestlemania 27. The funny thing is that WWE left off a U.S. Title match between Sheamus and Daniel Bryan in favor of Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler at that pay-per-view. Sheamus wrestling Daniel Bryan in a dark match for the US Title at Wrestlemania 27 was a travesty. When you stop and think about it, Michael Cole has wrestled or competed 10 times in the last 15 months. That means there is a 66% chance every month that you will see Michael Cole wrestle. That is mind boggling to me. Why is Michael Cole headlining RAW, but Ted Dibiase isn't even on the card? Nobody wants to see Cole wrestle. He's also a terrible heel commentator. He's a great play-by-play guy. He won awards for Worst Gimmick and Worst Television Announcer in 2011 from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter so I know I'm not alone on this. Stop having Michael Cole wrestle. No one wants to see it. No one ever wanted to see it.
