Breaking News: Cody Rhodes Fired by Triple H!
Last night on RAW (9-2-2013), Cody Rhodes was placed in a "Career Threatening Match" against Randy Orton by Triple H for speaking out against Triple H's treatment of Daniel Bryan. Cody Rhodes narrowly lost to Orton despite at one point hitting his 'Cross Rhodes' finisher. After the match, Triple H came out on the entrance ramp and fired Cody Rhodes. As Rhodes was being escorted out by security, WWE interviewer Josh Matthews questioned Cody on what happened. Cody commented that the McMahons have never liked the Rhodes. He says that's why Dusty Rhodes was the hottest wrestler in the Florida Territory until he signed with WWF and Vince had him wrestling in polka dots. He said that's why his brother went from being the Natural to being put in gold paint. We certainly hope Cody returns to the WWE soon.

RAW 11-28-11 Preview: John Cena Set to Cross Paths with Rowdy Roddy Piper in Piper's Pit
by Brian Phelps
Tonight on RAW, the Rowdy one returns to the ring for a special edition of Piper's Pit. What does Piper have to say to John Cena? For those that don't remember, this isn't the first time that Cena and the legendary Roddy Piper have crossed paths. About a year ago during Cena's feud with the Nexus, Piper confronted Cena before Randy Orton's title match with Wade Barrett. Let's take a look.

Cody Rhodes impresses in Street Fight loss to Randy Orton on Smackdown 11-4-2011
by Brian Phelps
This past Friday on Smackdown, reigning Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes took on Randy Orton in a bloody Street Fight. I was thoroughly impressed with Cody Rhodes performance. He showed me that he is certainly ready for the next level. He took it to Orton with an aggression I haven't seen before, and even though Cody lost... I felt like he was the real winner in that match. I think it would've been smarter to have Cody defeat Orton because what does a win for Orton do? Nothing. What does a win for Cody Rhodes do? It propels him to a more main event status, and gives him credibility that he needs with a win over WWE All-Star Randy Orton. With WWE needing main event talent badly, why do they continue to prevent superstars like Cody Rhodes, John Morrison, Wade Barrett, Kofi Kingston, and Tyson Kidd from breaking through the glass ceiling? You can't run forever on Cena, Orton and Attitude Era stars. The Undertaker can only wrestle 2 or 3 times a year and it breaks his body just doing that anymore. Triple H can still go, but seeings how he's done everything... Triple H in the main event is really hurting the product more than it's helping. Why should we watch Triple H in a pay-per-view main event when you got 10 guys floating in mid-card purgatory that have been waiting for their chance? Hopefully, with Cody Rhodes shining... he will break through soon and we will be looking at the disfigured World Champion instead of the IC Champion.

Christian Falls Even Further Out of the Title Hunt
I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. Christian dropping the belt in 2 days was NOT part of a "bigger storyline" for Christian. I told the naysayers and WWE defenders that it wasn't part of a bigger storyline for Christian, but it was actually the end of the Edge storyline. That Christian won the belt to end the Edge storyline, and was just holding the belt until Randy Orton got there. It appears that all my claims were validated, since Christian lost the belt to Orton, invoked the rematch clause and lost the rematch, and now he has lost the number 1 contender status to Sheamus. Yeah, he LOST the number one contender spot. So now, Christian is officially an upper mid-carder again... which is sad to say because WWE is seriously dropping the ball on Christian... AGAIN. Hopefully, Christian will come to his senses and when his contract is up go back to TNA where he was properly used and treated like the superstar he is. WWE one day is going to slap themselves saying "Why did we let this guy slip through the cracks?" the same way they have with Mr.Perfect, Rick Rude, Ricky Steamboat, Jimmy Snuka etc. Yes, Christian may have won the title unlike those guys... but he immediately lost it the following show which means his title reign was meaningless and did nothing for Christian but make him look like the weakest champion ever. It's the fact that just like those guys, WWE never explored how high those guys could take the company. How is WWE going to let Jack Swagger have a longer title reign than Christian? This is the kind of crud that is making people give up on pro wrestling. So to all those who claimed that Christian dropping the title was part of a bigger storyline for Christian, I just want to say I told you so.
