FAQ: Is 'King Mo' Lawal the First to Do MMA and Pro Wrestling at the Same Time?

Answer: No. Despite TNA and MMA Uncensored in 2012 claiming that Bellator fighter 'King Mo' Lawal is the first person to do both MMA and Pro Wrestling at the same time this is actually false. UFC Hall of Famer Dan "The Beast" Severn is the first person to do both Pro Wrestling and MMA at the same time dating back to 1995. Dan Severn competed for the UFC, WWF (now WWE), and NWA as well as other promotions simultaneously. In fact, Dan Severn (pictured below) is the only man to hold both an MMA and Pro Wrestling Championship at the same time (Severn held the NWA World Championship and the UFC Superfight Championship simultaneously).

Bobby Lashley also competed in MMA and Pro Wrestling simultaneously from 2009-2010 competing for TNA Wrestling at the same time he was fighting for Strikeforce, Maximum Fighting Championship, and PFP: Ultimate Chaos.

FAQ: Who Were the Magnificent Seven in WCW?

Most people either don't remember the Magnificent Seven or had simply stopped watching WCW by 2001. The Magnificent Seven were a heel faction that debuted during WCW's dying days. The faction was led by Ric Flair and featured Scott Steiner, Rick Steiner, Lex Luger, Buff Bagwell, Road Warrior Animal, Jeff Jarrett, and Miss Elizabeth. Road Warrior Animal was the enforcer or bodyguard of the group and Miss Elizabeth was the manager/valet. The faction formed at the WCW Sin pay-per-view on January 14, 2001 when Scott Steiner was defending his title in a fatal four way with Sid Vicious, Jeff Jarrett, and a mystery 4th participant. Ric Flair who was the President of WCW at the time, inserted Road Warrior Animal as the mystery 4th and Animal along with Jeff Jarrett conspired to keep Scott Steiner as the World Champion. WCW Sin was also the pay-per-view where Sid Vicious famously shattered his leg. The Magnificent Seven broke up before the final Nitro.
